The British Open Adult Latin Formation Dancing Championships was on Friday 4th June 2010. The results were as follows.

Congratulations to Warren and Kristi Boyce who again made the final of the Professional Ballroom Championship in the Waltz. Photos and videos of the couple performing at the DWP Studio on Saturday 20th March 2010 are on Facebook group dance with passion are the best!.

Congratulations to Ben Hardwick and Lucy Jones who came 24th (quarter final) out of 310 couples in the Amateur Latin Championship.

Watford Competition - DWP couples and teams win!

Dance with Passion couples and teams had a great day at the 16th Dance and Listen Awards Competition on Sunday 9th May 2010 at Watford Colleseum, Rickmansworth Road, Watford, WD17 3JN www.danceandlisten.co.uk.

The DWP Latin formation teams won 3 Dance and Listen Awards titles and also gained a runners-up position. Very well done to all the DWP teams.

The DWP Juvenile 4 Couple team - Lou Bega are Dance and Listen Awards Champions for the 3rd year running.

The DWP Juvenile 7 Couple team - Italia are Dance and Listen Awards Champions.

The DWP Junior 4 Couple team - Strictly Ballroom are runners-up.

The DWP Junior 8 Couple team - The Beat are Dance and Listen Awards Champions.

Congratulations also to the DWP couples who became Dance and Listen Awards Champions in their categories.

3rd Formation Teachers Alliance (FTA) Annual Competition Results

Well done to the DWP Latin formation teams who competed at the 3rd Formation Teachers Alliance (FTA) competition at Reading on Saturday 24th April 2010.

The DWP Juvenile 4 Couple team - Lou Bega came 5th.

The DWP Junior 4 Couple team - Strictly Ballroom made the Semi-finals.

The DWP Junior 8 Couple team - The Beat came 6th.

Blackpool Junior Dance Festival 2010 Results

Many congratulations to all the DWP Latin formation teams who competed at the British 'Open to the World' formation Championships at the 53rd Blackpool Junior Dance Festival. All the DWP teams danced fantastically well and produced an excellent set of results.

This is an incredible achievement given that many members of the DWP teams had not danced in a Championship before, and were also competing against much more experienced teams. Special mention should go to the DWP Junior 8 Couple team's performance. It is the first time that a DWP Junior 8 Couple team has made a British Open final. Very well done to all the Juniors! This year, Strictly Come Dancing star Matthew Culter, who was one of the nine judges, kindly presented the prizes to the finalists.

In 2011 the 54th Blackpool Junior Dance Festival is from Monday 25th April 2011 to Sunday 1st May 2011.

In 2012 the 55th Blackpool Junior Dance Festival is from Monday 9th April 2012 to Sunday 15th April 2012.

1st Northern Masters at Blackpool Tower Ballroom Results

Many congratulations to all the teams and couples from the various dance schools who performed at the 1st Northern Masters competition at Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday 6th February 2010.

It was a very successful competition for DWP. In the formation competitions, the DWP Juvenile 4 Couple, Juvenile 6 Couple and Junior 6 Couple Latin American teams all won titles, whilst the Junior 4 Couple team and the DWP Youth team just missed out on winning against very strong competition. In the couples competitions, many DWP dancers picked up Ballroom and Latin titles and medals. Very well done to you all.

The Northern Masters was a huge success with its combination of both competitive and fun events (e.g. Adult and child Waltz and Cha Cha Cha, dancers from different dance schools dancing together, the 6 legged jive). In particular, the inclusion of the Youth formation competition is enabling formation dancers over 16 years old to continue to compete at the very highest level.

The 2nd Northern Masters will be held at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th March 2011.
