Dance with Passion have the following regular classes at the Preston DWP Dance Studio.

Fylde Rugby Club Classes

DWP have classes at Fylde Rugby Club on Mondays.  There are Children's classes from 5.30pm.  Adults classes are from 7.00pm.  For more details download the Fylde Rugby Club September 2010 flyer. 

Barrow 'Dance Nights'

DWP have Adult and children classes in Barrow on Thursdays.

All Dance with Passion’s classes are taken by our team of professional dance teachers all of whom have reached the top in their chosen field.  These include Anne Freeman (4 times British Ballroom dance champion), Marcquelle Ward (former World street dance champion) and school principles Jason and Shemayne Parkinson, who have won many titles in Latin/Ballroom and formation over the years as dancers and trainers. 

We have teachers registered with the UKA and IDTA dance associations.  Our main aim is to make all the classes lots of FUN while you learn.  Through the day Dance with Passion teachers are available for private tuition.

Do you want to learn to dance like the pop stars and get fit in one class?  The ‘Dance Street’ class is a high energy workout class where you will learn dance moves and routines while giving the body and mind a good workout.

7.30pm - 8.15pm ‘Strictly Latin’ – Advanced Latin

This class is for you if you want to take your Latin American dancing to a whole new level.  You will be taken through advanced techniques and routines by the area’s top Latin American coaches.

‘Club Inferno’ – Preston’s Hottest Salsa Night

8.15pm - 9.00pm Salsa – Beginners and Improvers

9.00pm - 9.45pm Salsa – Intermediate and Advanced

9.45pm - 11.00pm Salsa Social with DJ Barry G

‘Club Inferno’ is a weekly version of the hugely popular ‘Tower Inferno’ salsa event held at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.  The DWP team will be on hand to teach you all the latest hot Latin club dances including Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Rueda, and DJ Barry G will play the best Latin sounds.  Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned salsa dancer, it's a fun evening for all.

9.00pm Salsa and Bachata – Intermediate

A new intermediate Salsa and Bachata class on Thursdays at 9pm with Mckenzie Young and Emma Sumner.  With the classes structured around leading and following, Mckenzie and Emma will be teaching the latest salsa turn patterns with style.  A Salsa and Bachata social dance follows after the class. 

Come on down and try Zumba.  Get fit with the energetic dance craze that is taking the dance world by storm.    Zumba combines the hot Latin rhythms you find in dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Tango, Samba and Reggaeton into a new fun fitness dance that is designed to be easy to learn and burn calories off.   Jason and top dancer and teacher Joanne White are taking Zumba classes every Monday at 8.30pm and every Thursday at 6pm and 8.15pm.  Classes cost £4.  Beginners are especially welcome and no partners are required.    Take a look at these Zumba video clips: What is Zumba?, Zumba Basic Steps Demo, Zumba Class.  More information on Zumba Fitness can be found at www.zumba.com

SATURDAY Evening - DWP Special events

Saturday nights at the DWP Dance Studio are home to some of the North’s biggest and best social and party nights.  Recent events have included fabulous evenings with the Stars of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, Club Inferno Salsa Parties with some of the biggest salsa names around, and Saturday Social Dance nights with buffet and a show.  See the events page for the latest details of our special events.

First Saturday of every month is Saturday Social Dance 7.30pm.

If you are just starting dancing then DWP's famous ‘Strictly Sundays’ are designed especially for you.  Under the expert tuition of the DWP dance teachers, you will be guided through the dances as seen on Strictly Come Dancing.  This is a fun night with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and a great way to finish the weekend.  At 9.30pm we welcome all dancers to join in our Sunday social.  This is probably the best way to spend your Sunday nights in Preston.

Dance Nights with Jason

Jason has adult and children's dance classes on Thursdays at The Forum, Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA14 1H.  www.forumtwentyeight.co.uk

Weekly dance classes for beginners and the more experienced dancers.  It's never too late to start dancing, so come along and learn to move to the Latin American sounds of Salsa music, dance the steps of the elegant Waltz and Foxtrot, the attitude and passion of the Tango or energy of the Quickstep.  Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere created by Jason.

Term 1 - September 20 & 27, October 4, 11, 18 & 25
Term 2 - November 8, 15, 22 & 29, December 6

5.00-6.00pm Children's Dance Zone
6 to 12 years. Come and learn all the latest street dance and cheerleading moves and routines. £4 per class.

6.15 - 7pm.  Zumba
Ditch the workout and join the party.  Come on down to the forum for a Zumba workout and burn those calories while enjoying the hottest fitness dance craze around.  £4 per class.

7.15pm Absolute Beginners
Over the weeks we will take you through the basics of Salsa, Rock & Roll, Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Quickstep, Samba and many more.  So if you want a new lease of life and loads of fun, this is the class for you.  £5 per class.  £7 for the evening.

8pm Strictly Ballroom and Latin class
This class is for those have danced before and know there way around the dance floor and are ready for the next level.  £5 per class. £7 for the evening.

8pm  Hot Salsa class
Again, for those who have mastered the basic steps of this fun Latin dance and are ready for a challenge.  £5 per class or £7 for the evening.
